CIF to meet Troika

Sunday, 15th January 2012: Construction employers' body, CIF, will meet the Troika on Monday, 16th January 2011 at 11.00 a.m. in the Department of Finance.  The CIF delegation will be led by its President, Matt Gallagher and Director General, Tom Parlon. 

The CIF will outline the low level of activity in the construction sector, its concerns relating to reduced public infrastructure investment, and the need for more reform of REA wage setting mechanisms in the construction industry as part of an overall competitiveness adjustment across the Irish economy.
